A handwoven pure silk Kanjivaram saree with a gleaming midnight black body dotted with golden maanga (paisley) buttas all over & girded by broad dual toned reddish orange borders that are elevated to the next level by gold zari checks and an elaborate palla that shows off a tapestry of the traditional annapakshi, maanga, chakram, mayil, and thazhampoo motifs. This weave is truly an ode to the elements of nature, mythology, and architecture that inspire the weaving legacy of Kanchipuram silks.
