A play on fables of human lives intertwining with tigers in Bengal, this undyed handwoven Tussar silk saree forms the perfect base for the handblock-printed tigers interspersed all over the body of the weave, while the pallu and borders feature kolam designs in stripes symbolising the hills, the forest, the trees. A playful take on the fables of shapeshifters we grew up listening to, the sandy beige body of this weave is the parchment on which we write our own story.
